  • Only bets made on the first race of the day at any South African racing venue will be eligible.
  • Only a customer's first bet on a qualifying race will be eligible for the refund.
  • Only real money bets will be eligible, bets made with bonus funds will not qualify for a refund.
  • The backed horse must finish second in order to qualify for a stake refund.
  • Refunds will be limited to a maximum of R1,000.
  • Refunds will be paid in bonus funds.
  • In order to claim your Runner-Up refund, please email support@betfred.co.za with your UserID and "Runner-Up Refund" in the subject line.
  • Emails must be sent within 24 hours of bet placement in order to be claimed.
  • Bonus funds will need to be rolled over four times at any odds before they can be transferred to main wallet.
  • Stake of the bet will not be returned to your bonus wallet.
  • Bonus funds can be used to place bets on single bets only, no Multiples or Bet Builder bets will be permitted.
  • The maximum amount that can be withdrawn to cash wallet from this bonus wallet is R10,000.
  • Bonus funds can only be used to place bets on prematch, horseracing, and lucky numbers. Bonus money cannot be used to place bets on single number or bonus/powerball lucky numbers bets and no place bets on horse racing are permitted.
  • Bonus funds will expire if not fully transferred to main wallet within seven days of crediting.
  • Only persons over the age of 18 may enter the competition.
  • Prizes are non-transferrable.
